Problem Statement: The outlook is the highest concern for any
lady whether she is going to her school, the office, a party or to an informal
meeting. Though ladies put a lot of time to try every aspect of their outlook
and how the shirt of the dress would look on them, they are still obliged to
select a hair cut that looks nice on other faces and not on their own heads or
faces.
Solution: Bright Look Inc. would be established to solve this
dilemma. Ladies need a lot of consultation with hairstylist or friends before
booking a haircut for an important event. Sometimes a lot of time would be
wasted for consecutive consultations and doubts. It will bring professional
consultation for ladies to their computers, cell phones, and personal digital
assistants (PDA). The same tool can be used to select eye lenses, glasses,
makeup and other facial esthetics. Bright Look would develop an Internet application to
capture two-dimensional images of the face and head sides in order to build a
three-dimensional model of the head that capture all the details of the
customer face. This model can be used later on to show how a specific haircut
would look on that face and exact head or how a pair of lenses would match with
the rest of the face.
Business Model: Initially, Bright Look will operate as a technology
provider company; deriving royalty revenue streams based on service providers
sales. The company would:
§
Develop
the system
§
Establish
the data center
§
Build
secure friendly interfaces on the internet and on mobile devices
§
Install
computer terminals and cameras at service points (salon, esthetic agency)
§
Receive
captured 2D images and build 3D models for the customers
§
Operate
and maintain the system
§
Charge
monthly fees for the service points
§
Share
profits with service providers (Bright Look customers) in the
form of referral rewards.
Each service provider (salon or
esthetician) would pay subscription and monthly fees. In addition, service
providers would get referral rewards if they accept to refer one of their
customers to other providers that are in other industries. For example, a
haircut salon would get special reward to refer one of his/her customers to a
makeup specialist.
Customer Traction: Bright Look will approach major hair care providers
to propose the competitive advantage of the new system for their operations. In
addition, they can improve their customers’ experience by giving the client the
chance to test different haircuts and different colors on their own look while
sitting on their desks or riding a car through either the cell phone or the
PDA. Each service provider would have full control over his customer database
that would be stored on Bright Look servers and no other competitor can have
this information. There would be minor extra cost as they can operate the
system as a self-service.
